Julie Woulfe, Ph.D.

Therapeutic Style: My therapeutic stance is informed by my training in relational/humanistic, multicultural, and skills-based (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) approaches. I believe taking a holistic approach tailored to the unique needs of each student allows for the most therapeutic growth and change.

Professional Interests: My areas of professional interest include working with survivors of single-event and complex trauma and working with members of the LGBTQ community, including working with Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming (TGNC) individuals.

Groups and Liaison Roles: Currently, I co-facilitate the Gender and Sexuality Affirmative Therapy group.

Education Background: I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Carlton College, a master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Boston College. I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Cambridge Health Alliance and my postdoctoral fellowship with Boston Veterans Affairs.
