Held throughout the academic year, Soul Series encompasses free programs to inspire students through meaningful conversation, building stronger connections and finding a greater sense of purpose. Join the Barnes Center at The Arch for the Soul Series. Learn more about each program below:

SoulSearch

The Barnes Center at The Arch in partnership with the Lerner Center of Public Health Promotion will facilitate SoulSearch for the Spring 2021 semester. SoulSearch is a one-day retreat for Syracuse University undergraduate students to connect, contemplate and experience a deeper understanding of their authentic selves. SoulSearch will rekindle a sense of belonging and highlight tools for practicing mindfulness and self-awareness with a focus on mindfulness, authenticity and balance. Every SoulSearch retreat is free, includes meals and transportation.

Valid Syracuse University I.D. and approved application required. Please note, SoulSearch is not open to State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) or remote students.

SoulTalk

Part of the Wellness Leadership Institute, SoulTalk is a weekly gathering for students held every Thursday during the academic year, from 7 to 8 p.m. Each week, SoulTalk has a new theme surrounding life’s big questions, such as purpose and connection. SoulScape

Please note: SoulScape will not take place during the Fall 2020 semester. 

Offered five times throughout the academic year, SoulScape is an overnight retreat at the Minnowbrook Conference Center in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. All five sessions of SoulScape feature activities and group exercises focused on purpose, gratitude and vulnerability; designed to help participants bond with one another and find a greater sense of meaning and self-understanding in their lives. This event is free and includes roundtrip transportation, lodging and meals.
