Flu Shot Information

All students, including those who live on campus; those who live off campus and use campus facilities, such as the libraries, Barnes Center, etc.; and those who are studying remotely for fall 2020, but will return to campus in spring 2021, are required to get a flu vaccine. The only exceptions to this requirement are for those with religious or medical exemptions and those who are studying remotely and not accessing campus the entirety of the 2020-2021 academic year.

For students who may have missed the flu clinics offered, the Barnes Center at The Arch provides flu vaccines at the Pharmacy.  Prior to arriving, please call the Pharmacy at 315.443.5691 and explore the Facilities and Hours webpage.

  • You can obtain your flu shot through another medical provider or at a pharmacy. If you receive a flu shot elsewhere, upload proof of the vaccine in the Patient Portal.
  • Visit the Patient Portal webpage for detailed instructions of how to provide proof of the flu vaccine.

  • If you need to waive the flu vaccine requirement for a medical or religious reason, submit a Medical or Religious Waiver form through the Patient Portal. Visit the Patient Portal webpage for detailed instructions.
  • If you already submitted a waiver for another vaccination, you do not need to take any further action.

All students are required to get a flu vaccine, except those with religious or medical exemptions, and those who are studying remotely and not accessing campus the entirety of the 2020-2021 academic year.

Students must have a flu shot or a documented exemption to attend in-person classes, participate in on-campus activities and use on-campus facilities in the spring semester.
