Flu Shot Information

All students, including those who live on campus; those who live off campus and use campus facilities, such as the libraries, Barnes Center, etc.; and those who are studying remotely for Fall 2021, but will return to campus in Spring 2022, are required to get a flu vaccine. The only exceptions to this requirement are for those with religious or medical exemptions and those who are studying remotely and not accessing campus the entirety of the 2021-2022 academic year.

To support our campus community in meeting this requirement, the Barnes Center at The Arch will offer flu clinics in the fall semester. Additional Fall 2021 Flu Shot Clinic details will be shared as information becomes available.

  • Students are encouraged to bring their pharmacy benefit card and health insurance card with them as they pack for their arrival to campus.
  • Students, faculty and staff who choose to obtain their flu shot at the Barnes Center should plan to have the vaccination fee charged to their health insurance.

With an appointment, students who missed the flu shot clinics, may receive a flu shot from the Barnes Center Pharmacy. Please call the Pharmacy at 315.443.5691 to schedule an appointment.

You can obtain your flu shot through another medical provider or at a pharmacy. Students who receive a flu shot elsewhere are asked to upload proof of the vaccine in the Patient Portal.

All students are required to get a flu vaccine, except those with religious or medical exemptions, and those who are studying remotely and not accessing campus the entirety of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Students must have a flu shot or a documented exemption to attend in-person classes, participate in on-campus activities and use on-campus facilities. Learn more on the Stay Safe Pledge webpage.
