The Flu

If you are sick, stay in your residence hall or off-campus residence. Avoid contact with others except to receive medical care. Most people with the Flu have mild illness and do not need medical care or antiviral drugs.

If you are experiencing any of the following signs of severe illness, you should go to the Emergency Room.

  • Confusion
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Flu-like symptoms that improve but then return with fever and worsen with cough
  • Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen
  • Severe or persistent vomiting
  • Sudden dizziness
