Pam joined FASA in October 2018 as the Interim Director before being named Assitant Dean for Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. Pam has worked at Syracuse University for 18 years and has served as both the Assistant Dean/Director of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and as an Assistant Director in the Office of Residence Life. She originally hails from New Jersey, although she has called the city of Syracuse and the University home for 18 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State, Erie the Behrend College, and her Master’s degree in Education at Penn State, University Park.

In December 2013, Pam became an official Orange alumna after earning a second Master’s degree in Cultural Foundations of Education. Pam also serves as a part-time faculty member in the Higher Education program. Pam is a nine-time NFL Draft attendee (although she has yet to be drafted by an NFL team.), enjoys spending time hiking with her two dogs, shoveling snow, and has recently learned to enjoy running.

Tiffany comes to Syracuse from Bowling Green State University where she was the coordinator of fraternity and sorority life. Originally from Houston, TX, Tiffany earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Houston where she also served as president of the Multicultural Greek Council. Tiffany is a proud member of Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority where she currently serves as the vice president of standards on the national executive board. When Tiffany is not working with fraternities and sororities, she enjoys writing fiction, painting, and spending time with her family and cats.

Kyle comes to Syracuse University from the University of Nevada, Reno where he was the coordinator of fraternity and sorority life. Originally from Jupiter, FL, Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa. While at UT, Kyle joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and became president of his chapter and served on the NPHC board. Outside of fraternity and sorority life Kyle was really involved on campus with multiple organizations. Kyle earned his master’s degree from the University of Houston. When Kyle is not working with fraternities and sororities, he is enjoying the latest horror film, looking for people to play tennis with, cooing, dancing, traveling to different places, listening to great music, watching anime, and binge-watching different shows.

With 29 years of student development and advising experience, Debbie will work with culturally-based organizations, as well as Interfratnernal Council (IFC) and Panhellenic chapters. In this new role, Debbie will assist with large scale programming, including concerts, speakers and comedy shows, and bring new life to FASA’s efforts in engaging fraternity and sorority alumni, and assist with investigations of student organizational misconduct.

Lael Pierce was raised in Yonkers, NY, a suburb just outside of New York City. Lael attended Utica College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. During her college years, she was actively involved in the Student Senate, Black Student Union, and the Step Team. Her commitment to higher education began immediately after graduation, as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor at her alma mater, where she was responsible for the recruitment of New York City students. She continued on as an Academic Coach, Student Services Director, and Access Advisor for various institutions, leading students beyond their personal and academic challenges, and into success.

Lael is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., where she currently services as President of the Syracuse graduate chapter, and as an elected officer of the New York State Executive-Board. She believes in leading by example and with a heart of service. She hopes to instill in others the historical and educational significance of Greek organizations and encourage members to leave a positive, impactful legacy. Her favorite things to do in her free time include volunteering, spending time with her niece, watching YouTube videos, and taking long drives.

MaryJo grew up in Newburgh, NY, a suburb north of New York City. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Labor Relations & Human Resource Management from Le Moyne College in 1990. As an undergraduate student, MaryJo was social chairman and volunteer coordinator of Pi Nu Epsilon Sorority. Before working as an Office Coordinator, she worked in the Labor & Employment Law Department at Hancock Estabrook law firm.

Her passion is to volunteer at the Rescue Mission and “pay it forward” through community involvement. She currently serves as the President of the Liverpool High School Girls Lacrosse Booster Club. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her daughters play lacrosse. She is excited to be working at Syracuse University and is looking forward to interacting with students!

Greg is originally from Marcy, NY, a suburb just north of Utica. He received his Bachelor of Science in both Accounting and Real Estate from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management in 2012. While at SU, Greg had the opportunity to be a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, as well as study abroad in London, UK. He looks forward to bringing his passion for the University into his work and help foster the positive environment that he experienced.

Anthony is originally from Maryland, right outside of D.C. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Spring 2017, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology & Biology. During his time as an undergraduate student, he was involved with many Fraternity and Sorority Life experiences, working as TA in the Biology Department, and Student Assistant in the Dean of Students Office. Recently, he finished working at the end of Spring 2019 as the Coordinator of Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Here, he worked with Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Activities, Student Organizations, and Campus Traditions. Anthony looks forward to strengthening his skills, in helping to develop students to become effective professionals for the future. In his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball, baking French pastries, going to local restaurants, and binging entire series on Netflix.

Anthony is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and believes in the impact that the Fraternity and Sorority experience can make on developing college students. He also serves as a Health & Safety Volunteer for Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) Fraternity Headquarters facilitating conversations on Risk Management. Anthony hopes to contribute to strengthening positive and meaningful development of the fraternal experience by expanding community connections and learning opportunities.

Bentley was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Wells College, a small liberal arts college located in Aurora, NY. Bentley is currently in the Higher Education Program. He developed his drive for Student Affairs through is undergraduate involvement. At Wells, he held many leadership positions such as Resident Advisor, President of the Student Government, Chair of the Programming Board, Assistant Court Chair of Community Court, and many others within clubs and organizations. He also interned in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Student Activities and Leadership, and Residence Life and Student Conduct. These internships led him on the path of his professional development.

Bentley is excited to be working in Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. He’s looking forward to expanding his knowledge and gaining more skills! When Bentley isn’t in the office he enjoys hanging out and binge-watching shows on Netflix. He also serves as an off-campus advisor to the Prodigy Step Team and a Board of Trustee Member for Wells College.

Shakaya is from Waterbury Connecticut and attended Southern Connecticut State University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work. During her undergraduate collegiate journey, she became a very involved student holding several leadership positions such as Peer mentor, Resident Advisor, Peer Academic Success Coach, Orientation Ambassador, and President of the Sigma Gamma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. She is currently in the Higher Education program here at Syracuse and is very excited to begin connecting with students on campus.

When Shakaya is not in class or at work she enjoys hanging out with friends and shopping. She is very excited to be working with FASA and getting to know more students in the wide variety of organizations on campus. If you see her around, feel free to say hello!
