The National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inc., (NALFO) is an “umbrella” coalition established in 1998 to promote and foster positive interfraternal relations, communication, and development of all Latino fraternal organizations through mutual respect, leadership, honesty, professionalism, and education. Today, NALFO’s 16 fraternities and sororities are bound by a shared commitment to fraternal unity, family values, and empowering Latino and under-served communities.

Mission:

The mission of Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. is to be a network of professionals that promotes brotherhood, scholarship, and service to the community. The fraternity promotes brotherhood by providing its members personal and professional support on an undergraduate and alumni level. Our members pursue scholarship not only for professional advancement, but to attain personal growth. The brotherhood serves the community by sponsoring events that aid those in need, promoting cultural awareness, and enriching the collegiate environment. Every member must continue to uphold the mission and goals of the fraternity, as they are the common values that distinguish us as Hermanos of Lambda Alpha Upsilon.

Vision:

The vision of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity is to expand our brotherhood and the services we provide to our communities while maintaining our culture and values. All endeavors pursued by the fraternity, as well as its members, must serve to realize and enhance the mission and goals of our fraternity.

Mission:

We, the brothers of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc., strongly believe that many individual and collective successes can be achieved through the efforts of a culturally diverse brotherhood of college and university men who, through close association with each other, maintain honesty, commitment, respect, and trust. The maintenance of these qualities is nurtured in large part through the diversity of culture and through self-awareness and self-respect. Among the results of actions taken in these states of being are the promotion of friendship and Brotherhood, the development of individual character, the advancement of justice and opportunity, and the acquisition of soundness and excellence in education. This is the foundation of our brotherhood!

Organization Values: The principles of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated are Unity, Love, and Respect.

Mission:

The purpose of Lambda Theta Alpha shall be to provide a sisterhood based on unity, love, and respect in an effort to foster the development of strong leaders who will then provide and practice political, social, and cultural activities. It shall also be the purpose of Lambda Theta Alpha to promote unity through charitable and educational programs, maintain a higher standard of learning and serve as a voice for all students.

Vision:

Lambda Theta Alpha’s core values are tied to our commitment to give back to the community. Our Founding Mothers served as pioneers to this movement when they devoted our organization to fostering a support group for women in higher education during a time when none existed. We strive to continue working towards the enrichment of marginalized communities and groups by dedicating our time to activism, fundraising, and volunteering.

Mission:

Only Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. can authentically provide an everlasting sisterhood and an empowering sense of pride to our diverse members by intentionally contributing tools to distinguish ourselves. We pride ourselves as an organization of diverse collegiate and professional women dedicated to uplifting traditionally marginalized groups, specifically Latinx people and women. Since 1987, the Hermandad has been an outlet for professional development and personal growth to both its members and serving constituents. The sorority’s impact can be seen in the outstanding accomplishments of our Hermanas, the young women being mentored enrolled in our LADYS and PEARLS Programs, and through the lives of people touched by our many initiatives—proof that women of color can make a difference.

Vision: Though our sorority is Latina-based, Sigma Lambda Upsilon is not Latina-exclusive. We take pride in serving as a non-discriminatory organization comprised of women from all cultures, creeds, disabilities, political beliefs, and sexual preferences.
